The Drumconner care homes have been privately owned and in the same family for over 35 years.

"We all believe our job is to deliver high quality care that will improve and sustain the overall quality of the life of our residents. We provide a happy environment where each resident feels at home and finds the level of independence, companionship, safety and comfort that they desire and deserve; our aim is to enable our residents to remain in charge of their lives as much as is possible.

Of course, our skilled, dedicated and highly trained staff treat each resident as an individual and support their complex health and medical conditions as well as their emotional well- being. Individualised, person centred care-planning provides the care and support for residents and this often includes families too, since, we understand that choosing the right care home is an important decision."

The family actively oversees the homes which are led by a professional management team, maintaining the proud family heritage established so long ago.
Offering the highest standards of care in a luxury home environment, years of unique and personal learning, and investment over time, has provided all at Drumconner with the experience to understand the needs of individuals, their families, or carers.
We look forward to welcoming you to Drumconner & helping you in the next part of your journey in life.

Meet Our Leaders

Passionately committed to caring for our residents.

“I began working at Drumconner Care Home, Bournemouth, in 2012. The most important part of my role is to ensure that each and everyone of my residents maintains quality of life within their residential home experience.

Managing a home which I would put one of my parents in, became key to creating a positive, caring and responsive service. My morals of loyalty and honesty alongside professionalism helps me to promote effective practice within the home. Having a mixed skilled and talented staff base, is demonstrated throughout the home and we pride ourselves on our achievements. The way in which staff are trained within the home, projects the frame of mind, that we are simply working in our resident’s home.

We strive to ensure that our residents are actively involved within the home and their voices are not only heard, but also valued and respected.

I am an outcome based individual and this is reflected in our CQC report.
We believe this is the next part of your journey; let’s make sure it’s everything that you desire.”

Venus - Bournemouth Deputy Manager

“I have worked at Drumconner since April 2014 after qualifying as an adult registered nurse from Bournemouth Hospital.

I have a broad range of experience in nursing but especially enjoyed the vascular surgery ward and stroke wards where I established a keen interest in the elderly and their needs when faced with the complications of these diseases.

I have been given many opportunities at Drumconner all of which have contributed to my values and knowledge of practice. The high standards of person centred care is the key value that is embedded into the team at Drumconner. Every member of the team puts the residents at the heart of everything and we encourage one another to strive to get each resident to their full potential. As we all work alongside each other to create a happy atmosphere, Drumconner is made to feel like a home with positive attitudes and outcomes. I consider myself to be an organised and methodical person which enables me to achieve all my care and business goals within my work.”
