Treatments with acupuncture can produce rapid results (e.g. for shoulder pain caused by rotator cuff inflammation or back pain caused by subluxation) but usually a number of treatments are required, e.g. for joint and vertebral column pain a total of 6 to 10 sessions, on a two sessions per week basis, would be recommended.
