Ultrasonography, commonly called sonography, is a diagnostic medical procedure that uses high frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to produce dynamic visual images of muscles, joints, tissues, or blood flow inside the body. Sonography is a radiation-free imaging modality. It is increasingly being used in the evaluation and treatment of sports-related injuries, hip diagnosis in newborns, in the field of rheumatology and arthropathy.
We also perform sonographically guided injections.
Some advantages of sonography are:
Painfree examination for the patient
Very good representation of joint structures
Radiation-free
Dynamic examination/evaluation/checkup
At ORTHOPAEDIE BAVARIA we use the new, state of the art, all-digital SONOLINE G20 ultrasound imaging system which combines excellent image quality, workflow enhancements and ergonomics.
